Media, the focal culprit behind Pakistan’s defamed reputation.

Pakistan is a third world country. Its international reputation is shoddy and it’s political, economic, and social position is worse than ever. It is famous for the ill-practices that take place in it. Some of these are: terrorism, injustice, corruption, and child abuse. Why is all this? Who is responsible for all this? It is mandatory to figure out the reasons and bring the culprits to limelight.

When corruption clicks one’s mind, the first image that forms into his mind is of a politician. And when problems vis-à-vis Pakistan are outlined, only the government is held responsible. This mindset has been created by the media, who itself is the wrongdoer.

The system of Pakistan grants the media cell the liberty to criticize the government. But this does not allocate it the right to damage the government’s reputation and also that of Pakistan, both national and international. The Pakistani media has considered it its responsibility to outline every con of the country. This has had a negative impact on the country’s reputation and had led to a deleterious international image.

The media underlines every loophole of the country and discusses or criticizes it to an utmost extent. It sidelines the bring side of Pakistan. This builds up a negative picture in the nation’s mind about the country and therefore the state and the government lose support. This generates rift amid the nation and leaves it divided. This hinders the development as a state’s uplift demands complete and wholehearted endorsement of its very people.

Many countries have a wider dark side and are worse than Pakistan but their good luck lies in the media cell as it is controlled and reserved. The simplest example is that of India.

India is a country with considerable poverty and illiteracy. Child labor and injustice are commonplace. There are plenty of immoral and evil practices that take place therein. India stands as one of the most corrupt country of the world. There are many other glitches that the Indian Media is reluctant to depict.

Therefore, Pakistan stands better than many other nations, even those who portray to be better than it. But the problem lies in the media cell. And so it is also significant to bring media under control to observe development and promote Pakistan’s national and international image.
