The classic history of Pakistan suggests that it was a part of the British Empire, prior to its independence. This so-called potent, apparently magnificent realm had made its subjects, the varied and divided Indians in the late eighteenth century. Nevertheless, 15th of August 1947 marked the Independence Day for the Indians and more importantly, the partition of India into two separate states, namely the much substantial India and the relatively compact and geographically divided Pakistan. The Independence Day, which turned out to be a nightmare in the sub-continental history, led to the creation of two Pakistans which were referred as the two wings of Pakistan instead. All this was an aftermath of the ambiguous and off-spirit Radcliffe Award and the British mismanagement. Hundreds and thousands casualties manifested how gruesome the most delightful day was. The chief clash amid the newly formed states, India and Pakistan, was the ‘Kashmir Issue’, for which the former rulers were accountable. Irrespective of the severity of the dispute, the British was certainly proficient of enforcing an unprejudiced and unbiased solution to the rift. Of course, if the British were stable and powerful enough to run colonies and participate in World Wars, the Kashmir Issue must have been a piece of cake for them to sort out. But their activity of sidelining the matter manifested that it was a planned conspiracy and was to keep the two nations busy in fighting.
Tussles and unrest commenced in Kashmir from the very first day of the independent sub-continent and with the passage of time, the heat of the situation in Kashmir persisted to surge. India’s occupation of Kashmir was illegal as the will of its residents displayed and fear dominated the Indian minds, when a referendum was verbalized. Wasn’t this notion pretty transparent, as India was well aware of losing Kashmir in the case of a plebiscite?
Implicitly, all that mentioned above demonstrates the hostility of the Hindus towards the Muslims, of which Pakistan was probably an immediate consequence. As the Congress Rule in the late 1930’s made it overt that the Hindu-Muslim unity was a virtual reality. Instead of seeking lessons from the catastrophic impacts of regional disunity, the Hindus continued to plot against the Muslims and a major spike in the matter of unity portrayed itself in the shape of 1965, Indo-Pak war. India deceivingly attacked Pakistan’s Lahore, after which Pakistan effective safeguarded itself, consequently routing the Indians.
Then in 1971, a civil war sprang out amid the two Pakistani wings. India, knowing the intentions of East Pakistan to secede, backed the wing and helped it with its aim, in what came out to be the creation of a separate and sovereign state, Bangladesh. This was another sample of disunity by the Indians facing Pakistan and an evidence of interference in Pakistani affairs.
The Indian ill-practices did not come to a halt after the 1971 battle. Instead, further distrust fueled between the two neighbors. On 26th February 2019, India attacked Pakistan by air. It used the Mirage 2000 aircraft to serve the purpose. Ridiculous, wasn’t it? As the inept aircraft was shot-down by Pakistan Air Force with considerable tranquil and the attack led to the hilarious devastation of only a few trees. This was another clue of disunity and hostility aiming Pakistan.
Deeply speaking, the reasons covering all this ferocity tend to be the Hindu extremism towards the Muslims. It’s not a matter associated with Pakistan’s arch-rivalry with India, instead, it is the Hindu-Muslim fissure, erected by the Hindus, of which all this all is a consequence.
The main twist which remains unearthed till this word, is the Indian revocation of article 370b. The act stands to be highly heinous, rather unjust to say the least, as it makes India no more punctual to Kashmir’s disputed status. Inclusively, the global bodies who portray themselves as peace-lovers, remain unmoved on the alteration. Such prolonged and intense has the subject been that almost a year has elapsed since the amendment was brought into effect.
Astonishingly, India not only stands guilty of religious inhumaneness in Kashmir, but also in its very self. Where the novel Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has taken the country by storm and protests and turbulence are dominant. This act ensures fortification for the minorities but simultaneously ousts the Muslim community from sharing its pros, bearing in mind the Muslims as a majority, as they constitute thirty-three percent of the Indian population. Moreover, with the passage of time, the Hindu hatred towards the Muslims is accumulating, resulting in a hike in intemperance and pessimism.
Impartially speaking, by framing such circumstances and forming such dissections, the current Indian policies and works make it fit to be described by the following idiom; a bad cat deserves a bad rat. And sooner or later this will be the exact after-effect of what is going on in India nowadays.
If we jump back to the pre-partition situation of India, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who was the founder of Pakistan, was a comrade of the Indian National Congress and a staunch advocate of the Hindu-Muslim unity. Although later he left the party and joined the Muslim League, he still was a believer of Hindu-Muslim harmony. But some events, which appeared as an attempt to dome any such idea, confirmed that Hindu-Muslim union was idealism. The major contributors were the Nehru Report, the Great Calcutta Killing and the Congress tyranny, where the foremost was subsequent to the Congress Rule in the late 1930’s. Therefore, all these created the Idea of a separate state in the hearts of the Indian Muslims, and so the Muslim League made the conception of Pakistan, its primary precedence. Then in 1947, the objective of Muslim League received physical treatment, leading to the birth of a new country, Pakistan.
Now if we get back to the current condition of India, it is almost the same as it was back in 1930’s-40. Muslims are being ill-treated, the situation in Kashmir has climbed to its worst possible juncture, and the Muslims are a target of social injustice. In fact, now their survival is even at stake. So when comparing all this to the place’s history, it seems that the history will repeat itself because the Indian Muslims are voyaging to a place where they are in a majority and thus, there now exist many districts and states, having a Muslim majority. And the Muslims are multiplying with the fastest rate as compared to other people. So if such behaviour continued, the Muslims will keep migrating to safer and friendly areas and eventually, a whole zone in India will have a Muslim majority who will repel the Hindu oppression and battle for their own independent state. Eyeing the opportunity, Pakistan will assist the strugglers and so India will be further shirked, following the formation of a Third Pakistan.
